When: Sat, Sept 6 - Sun, Sept 7, 2008
Where: 2646 River Ave, #B, Rosemead, CA

Description:

It’s been a long day - I’m exhausted, so I’m just going to quote directly from the Bargains LA email that tipped me off to this:

The pricing is super! A pair of Steve Madden Aplegate boots retail at $129, but are here at just $52. A pair of CoutureDonald Pliner Doris boots usually go for $3! 35, but are here at $134. How about a pair of Guess trendy boots for $44 instead of $110? Your tootsies will revel in a pair of $250 Cole Haan Air Kierstin for $100 and you may be seriously tempted to snatch up a pair of Casadei Pellame boots for $210 instead of the original $700. Here you can have the boots you’ve been pinning for… for a lot less.

Description:

K. First off, what’s the difference between a “clearance event” and a “clearance sale?”

I know this is semantics, but I’m genuinely curious… is it just that the business holding the sale doesn’t want to acknowledge that they’re parting with stuff at a lower rate? That they’re “above” sales? Is it that they think listing something as an “event” makes it sound bigger and snazzier? I’ve noticed that car dealerships do this a lot, but somehow the linguistics really stick out more when it’s something, oh, I dunno, not sleazy, like EMS doing the pitch.

Nevertheless, there are stellar deals to be had at EMS right now. I’m a little slow on the draw for this sale, so sorry if you have an unusual shoe size that’s already been snatched up!

Since this is a repeating event, I’ll keep it on my radar and hopefully be able to list it earlier next time!

Thanks!

Description:

I’m new to the whole “TopButton” thing. When you go to their site and find a sale listed there, it gives you the option to RSVP to the sale. I know some of their sales are exclusive for people who are signed up with them, but I don’t think that all of the sales on their site are exclusive. I’m going to call them to find out.

In the meantime, this is a really snazzy sale if you’re in the market for eyeglass frames. Alain Mikli’s frames can range up to $1000 under normal pricing. WOWZA! Even on sale at places like Amazon, they’re running from $200 - $1000. This sample sale is offering pricing from $60-95. SWEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTTT!!!

The event is cash only and, just to be on the safe side, unless you live or work nearby and can just pop in on the event and see how it goes, I’d suggest RSVPing with TopButton.
