Where Sale

The place to find warehouse, event and liquidation sales in your area.

When: 12/23/08 - 1/31/09
Where: 850 4th Street, San Rafael, CA and 1556 Mt. Diablo BLVD, Walnut Creek, CA
Link: http://www.liquideventsales.com

Description:

This is an ongoing holiday sale that has been extended past Christmas & the end of Hanukkah because of its popularity. I haven’t been by the store locations yet, but heard that one of the sale items are these beautiful jewelry boxes for cheap, cheap, cheap!

Liquid Events always comes up with extra great ways to make their sales fun, and this is no exception - one of their “hooks” is that the are running $1 days every day, where one item is $1 only until it sells out that day.

When: 8/27 - 9/8 -> while supplies last
Where: online

Description:

This online Labor Day Sale is featuring prices up to 80% off. To be honest, the prices don’t look that fabulous to me, like maybe the original prices were market up to make it look like a better deal. However, even at 50% off, you’re ahead of the game. The big deal about this sale is that they’re offering 50% off shipping until 9/8, which is pretty sweet.

When: This is an ongoing “outlet” sale
Where: Items are reviewed and purchased via the Internet, but MUST be picked up at the Design Public San Francisco offices.

Description:

Nifty! Wow! These are words that initially describe what I dig about the Design Public Outlet. Most items in the outlet part of the website are marked down at least 40% off. In fact, I haven’t cruised the whole of the outlet section, but I think maybe it’s EVERYTHING that’s listed for 40% off.

Beware, this doesn’t mean you can grab stuff willy-nilly for steal-o-rama prices like, say, $11 for a lamp (that was just a random sample… the cheapest lamp presently listed at the DPO is going for $52.80, previously listed at $88). This isn’t Target, folks. It’s artisanal, crafted, beautifully designed stuff that you will most certainly NOT encounter on your next Ikea, Target, Home Depot or Caldor run.

On a side note, not unlike their products, the site is BEAUTIFULLY DESIGNED - really well streamlined with the enduser in mind. It offers a number of handy ways to search their products and great search filters. Spiffy!

When: NOW!!!
Where: Online only

Description:

Another fantastic find from my sister-in-law… Olive Juice is doing a fantastic warehouse sale right now. As with most of my posts so far, I’m not that familiar with this business and don’t know if they regularly host a warehouse sale, or if this is just an occassional thing, but the prices are UNBELIEVABLE for high-end, adorable children’s clothes.

Follow the link and click on the “view all” link under the “warehouse sale” section of the left hand navigation bar.

Have fun!

When: Ongoing, from now ’til the doors close
Where:1567 Pacific Ave, San Francisco, CA (at Polk St) / 415-346-2530
Link: SFGate Linen Outlet AD

Description:

If you live in the Bay Area and you’ve never gone to the Linen Outlet… You’ve been missing out on MAJOR deals. This is pretty much where I’ve always gotten my bed linens and, although they’re marked as being a little “off,” I have yet to encounter a problem. I even got a fantastic indoor / outdoor rug here that has weathered years of beatings in the entryway with dogs tracking in and out, etc. It still looks great.

The prices at the Linen Outlet are already about as basement-level as you can get, but with this location closing, the steals are even better.

I’m headed there tomorrow to pick up trimmings for my daughter’s new room. Maybe I’ll see you there!

When: Mon - Sat, 10-6 until 8/31
Where: 310 Sutter Street, San Francisco, CA
Link: http://www.bigpagoda.com/

Description:
The Big Pagoda Company is having a storewide closeout sale with discounts ranging from 15-75% off. They’re abandoning their brick and mortar stores and moving to an online-store-only model. Thus, they may not be as super-motivated to drop their prices as they days go by. All the same, if you’re looking for beautiful, asian-inspired furniture and home accessories, check it out.
